How to Use the Online Screen Recorder

1. Choose whether to include system audio and/or your microphone.
2. Press Start Recording and pick what to share — your entire screen, an application window, or a browser tab.
3. Recording starts immediately. Use Pause if you need a break, and Resume to continue.
4. Press Stop (or stop sharing from the browser’s sharing indicator). Preview your recording, then download it.

Practical example

If you need to show a colleague how to use a new dashboard, press Start Recording, share the browser tab with the dashboard, and narrate through your microphone. When you press Stop, you get a video file you can send directly — no editing software or uploads needed.

Limitations

Screen recording needs a desktop browser with MediaRecorder support (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox work best; Safari 14.1+ partially). It does not work in most mobile browsers. System audio capture depends on your operating system and what you choose to share — sharing a full screen may not include system sound on some platforms. Very long recordings use significant memory; for hour-long sessions, consider stopping and starting a new recording every 20–30 minutes.
