Rotate PDF

Rotate pages in a PDF file right in your browser – turn sideways scans upright, flip pages for printing, or fix a document that was saved at the wrong angle. Everything is processed locally on your device; nothing is uploaded to Utilzivo.

How to Use the Rotate PDF Tool

  1. Choose a PDF file from your device.
  2. Pick the rotation angle: 90 deg clockwise, 180 deg, or 270 deg clockwise.
  3. Leave the pages box empty to rotate every page, or type specific pages such as 1,3,5-7 (page 1, page 3, and pages 5 through 7).
  4. Press Rotate PDF and download the corrected file when it is ready.

Practical example

Imagine you scanned a 12-page contract but pages 4-6 came out sideways because the paper was fed the wrong way. Instead of rescanning, open this tool, choose the PDF, select 90 deg clockwise, type 4-6 in the pages box, and press Rotate PDF. Only those three pages turn; the rest of the document is untouched, and you download a fixed file in seconds.

Key features and benefits

  • Rotate all or selected pages: fix the whole document or just the pages that need it, using a simple page-range syntax.
  • Three rotation angles: 90 deg, 180 deg, and 270 deg cover every orientation problem.
  • Local processing: your PDF never leaves your device, so sensitive documents stay private.
  • Preserves content: rotation changes the page orientation flag without recompressing images or text, so quality is unchanged.
  • No sign-up: no account, no watermark, no page limits.

Limitations

Rotation applies to whole pages; it cannot rotate a single image or paragraph inside a page. The tool adjusts the page rotation setting, which every standards-compliant PDF reader honors, but a few very old viewers may ignore it. Password-protected or corrupted PDFs cannot be processed – remove the password first. Extremely large PDFs (hundreds of megabytes) may be slow on low-memory devices because the whole file is handled in your browser’s memory.

Frequently asked questions

  • Will rotating reduce my PDF’s quality? No. The tool updates each page’s rotation flag rather than re-rendering content, so text and images keep their original quality and the file size barely changes.
  • Can I rotate only some pages? Yes. Type the pages you want, for example 2,5-8, and every other page is left exactly as it was.
  • A page still looks sideways in my old PDF reader. Why? A few outdated viewers ignore the rotation flag. Open the file in any modern reader or browser and it will display correctly.
