How to Use the Cross-Device Share Tool
- On your phone, open this tool and press Create Room. You get a 6-digit code and a QR code.
- On your computer, open this same tool, type the code (or scan the QR code with your phone camera), and press Join Room.
- Both devices are now connected. Type messages or attach photos and videos – they appear on the other device within seconds.
- Send as many files as you like, back and forth, without entering any more codes. Press Leave when you are done.
Practical example
You are editing a document on your computer and need a photo from your phone. Create a room on your computer (code 482 916), join it from your phone, then attach the photo on your phone and press Send. It appears on your computer almost instantly. Need to send an edited version back? Attach it on your computer – it shows up on your phone. One code, unlimited sharing.
Is my data private?
Rooms are protected by a random 6-digit code and are deleted from our server automatically after 24 hours (or 2 hours after everyone leaves). Only devices that joined with your code can see the messages.
