Utilzivo

Image Grayscale Converter

Apply classic photo filters to any image in your browser – black-and-white grayscale, warm vintage sepia, or a striking color invert. Preview instantly and download the result as a PNG. Everything is processed locally; nothing is uploaded to Utilzivo.

How to Use the Image Filter Tool

  1. Choose an image file (JPG, PNG, WebP, and most other formats work).
  2. Pick a filter: Grayscale for timeless black and white, Sepia for a warm vintage look, or Invert for a photo-negative effect.
  3. Press Apply Filter – the result appears instantly on the canvas.
  4. Change the filter any time to compare looks; the original is never altered.
  5. Download the filtered image as a PNG.

Practical example

You want a moody black-and-white version of a portrait for a portfolio page. Choose the photo, select Grayscale, and press Apply Filter. The preview shows the monochrome result immediately. Switch to Sepia to compare the vintage alternative, then download whichever you prefer – all without installing an editor.

Key features and benefits

  • Three classic filters: grayscale, sepia, and invert cover the most common one-click edits.
  • Instant preview: see the effect the moment you apply it.
  • Non-destructive: switching filters always starts from your original image.
  • Full resolution: the filter processes every original pixel before download.
  • Local processing: your photos never leave your device.

Limitations

Only the three listed filters are available – there are no adjustable intensity sliders. Filters apply to the whole image; selective or masked editing is not supported. Very large photos (above ~20 megapixels) may take a few seconds to process on older devices. Animated GIFs are processed as a single still frame.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can I control how strong the effect is? The three filters are fixed one-click looks. For adjustable intensity, apply the filter here and fine-tune the result in a photo editor.
  • Is my original image changed? Never. Every filter run starts from your uploaded original, and the download is a separate new file.
  • What happens to transparency? Transparent areas stay transparent – the filter only changes the color channels, not the alpha channel.
