Image Resizer
Resize images directly in your browser. Choose an image, set the width and height, keep the aspect ratio if needed, and download the resized file.
Set the pixel dimensions you need
- Choose one JPG, PNG or WebP image and wait for its original dimensions to appear.
- Set Width or Height in pixels. Keep Keep aspect ratio checked to update the other dimension automatically.
- Choose JPG, PNG or WebP output and select Resize Image.
- Check the preview and output dimensions, then download the resized copy.
Prepare a landscape product photo
A 2,000 × 1,000-pixel image has a 2:1 aspect ratio. Setting its width to 1,000 with the ratio locked produces 1,000 × 500 pixels. Entering 1,000 × 1,000 with the lock off stretches that photograph into a square. This tool resizes the whole image; it does not crop it or add borders to fit a square.
Dimensions, file size and image detail
Pixel dimensions describe the image grid. File size in KB or MB also depends on format, image detail and compression, so a particular width does not guarantee a particular file size. Downscaling removes pixels; enlarging an image interpolates pixels without recovering missing detail.
Use PNG or supported WebP output for a transparent image. JPG cannot retain transparency. For an exact file-size limit, resize first and then use the Image Compressor.
Image resizing questions
Why does the height change when I type a width?
The ratio lock preserves the original shape. A fractional calculated dimension is rounded to a whole pixel.
What is the largest output?
The form allows up to 12,000 pixels per side, but that is a validation limit, not a guarantee your device can process every image at that size. Large canvases use substantial memory.
Does resizing change my original file?
No. Download creates a separate copy. Keep the original when you may need its full resolution later.
Can I resize animations or preserve camera metadata?
This is a still-image canvas workflow. It does not preserve an animation timeline, and camera metadata or colour-profile details may not be retained.
Local processing and next steps
The selected image is decoded and resized in your browser; it is not uploaded by this tool to Utilzivo. Use the Image Converter if you only need a different format. Check downloaded images in the application where you plan to use them.
