How to generate a barcode

1. Type the text or number to encode.
2. Choose the format — CODE128 for general use, EAN-13 for retail products.

Which format do I need?

• CODE128 — the safest default; encodes letters and numbers compactly.
• EAN-13 — the retail standard (requires 12–13 digits; the last is a check digit).
• UPC-A — North American retail (11–12 digits).
• CODE39 / ITF-14 / MSI — logistics, cartons, and warehouse inventory.

Printing tips

Print at 100% scale — resizing distorts the bars and scanners fail. Use the PNG download (rendered at 3× resolution) for crisp prints, keep quiet zones (white margins) intact, and test-scan before a bulk print run.
